GLOBAL WARMING EFFECTS …………
Lobstering !!!!!
How does the temperature
affect the lobsters????
Quoted by Mr. weeks lobster
genius” temperature can greatly affect the lobster biomass, their movement,
shedding and their reproductive cycles.”
The ecosystem is highly affected
as well with the climate change as the water gets colder animal in the water
start to find new homes and move away from the cold water.
The temperature can also affect
the people whose jobs depend on these lobsters if the season is delayed by the
cold weather the hardworking fishermen have to wait till the warm weather sets
in.
Were do the lobsters go when
its to cold?????
Numbers of
lobsters in the Gulf of Maine. This may also be due to ocean warming, as It may
be that the newly warmer waters a longer growing season, encourage more rapid
growth, cause lobsters to hatch earlier and provide better conditions for
larval lobsters
In Maine
the lobster business has depleted as people moved to fishing for cod for more
money but as people made this move the temperature of the water made the
lobsters hatch early. Now there is more lobster than there has every been in
Maine.
Global
warming affects the fisherman???
Quoted by
Mr. Weeks “the fisherman is affected by global warming, because the high
temperatures make it very harsh to work in, moving pots in my grundens isn’t
easy in 95 degree weather.”
What are
grudens made out of???
Heavy cotton
canvas based material witch is obviously very hot on a nice summer day.
